Kick-off: 17:30 (BST).
Bundesliga.
TV: BT Sport 1 (UK).
The biggest match of the season so far sees the two main title contenders face off as Borussia Dortmund play Bayern Munich.
Crunch time
Dortmund don’t appear to have been fazed by the break in the season as they recorded an impressive 0-2 victory away at Wolfsburg on Saturday. Raphael Guerreiro stole the show again as he added to his two goals against Schalke by grabbing another goal against Wolfsburg, and you can get odds of 11/4 if you think he will score in three consecutive games. This is a must-win game for Dortmund, and a loss here will almost guarantee another Bundesliga title for their opponents.
Magnificent Munich
Bayern have also looked perilous since the return. They were comfortable 0-2 winners against Union Berlin in their first match back. They then beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2 at the weekend — avenging their earlier 5-1 thrashing from the same team which also saw their previous manager being fired. Under their new manager Hans-Dieter Flick, their form has improved drastically with 20 wins from 23 matches. The next game against Dortmund is the most important one of his tenure so far, and Bayern Munich are currently at 20/21 to win at the Westfalenstadion and move seven points ahead of Dortmund.
Match preview
The H2H makes for grim reading if you’re a Dortmund fan; Bayern Munich have won the previous two matches with an aggregate scoreline of 9-0. However, both of those matches were at the Allianz Arena, and Dortmund did win their previous home match against Bayern Munich last season with a dramatic 3-2 victory, and they are at 22/1 to win 3-2 again. However, Borussia will be without Marco Reus this time as he is out due to injury — he scored two goals in that particular match. Bayern took control of last season’s title race by beating Dortmund 5-0 at a similar point in the season, and the winner of this one will see themselves as favourites to go on and take the title.
Injury news
Borussia Dortmund: Marco Reus and Dan-Axel Zagadou.
Bayern Munich: Niklas Süle, Phillipe Coutinho and Corentin Tolisso.
