Chelsea play fellow London rivals Tottenham in this weekend’s biggest Premier League match!
Chelsea
After a stuttering start, Chelsea’s form and consistency have improved culminating in three wins from three in the Premier League. The Blues have been boosted by their new signings with the creativity of Hakim Ziyech, the confident performances of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and striker Timo Werner starting to settle into the league. They’ve also secured their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League with two games to spare after a late win over Rennes.
Chelsea are currently at 21/20 to defeat Tottenham on Sunday.
Tottenham
Tottenham have won their last four Premier League games which has seen them surge to the top of the table. A solid defence while still scoring plenty of goals; a lot of people are tipping them to be one of many contenders for the title. Tottenham famously have a torrid record against Chelsea especially at Stamford Bridge where they have only won once in 30 years. Can they manage a victory over Chelsea this weekend? Spurs are at 5/2 to do just that.
Match preview
This one is a clash of the in-form teams in the league at the moment adding to what is always a feisty encounter between two London arch-rivals. Chelsea won home and away last season and will enter this one as the favourites to triumph once more. The pair are currently at a better level compared to the previous matches meaning we should see a higher quality contest. They also played each other in the League Cup two months back with Tottenham prevailing in the end via a penalty shootout. Timo Werner scored his first Chelsea goal in that game, and he’s at odds of 6/5 to score again.
Injuries and suspensions
Chelsea: Christian Pulisic (doubt).
Tottenham: Erik Lamela, Toby Alderweireld.
