How to watch the Premier League?
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
Tottenham play Arsenal as both sides look to claim the bragging rights in the 200th North London derby.
Uninspiring
It has been a season to forget for Tottenham as they sit in mid-table with the Europa League being their only hope of European football next season. Spurs have not been playing well since the restart, they managed a scrappy 1-0 win over Everton on Monday evening and played out an uninspiring 0-0 draw against relegation battlers Bournemouth on Thursday.
Tottenham are currently at 8/5 to win.
Return to form?
After a poor restart, Arsenal improved their form with four wins on the trot and then a 1-1 draw against 4th-placed Leicester on Tuesday evening. However, that more or less ended any chances of playing in the Champions League next season as they find themselves nine points behind Leicester with four games left. Their current 7th-placed position could be enough to get them in the Europa League depending on what happens in the FA Cup — a competition that remains Arsenal’s priority this season.
You can get odds of 13/8 for an Arsenal win.
Match preview
The last two North London derbies ended in draws and since this is the first derby for both Jose Mourinho and Mikel Arteta; the H2H will tell us very little about how the match will pan out. However, a look at the previous performances of players can give us a guide at how they handle the pressures of the derby. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored seven goals in eight games in the North London derby; can he score again? He’s at 27/25 to get on the scoresheet. Both managers have opposing philosophies with Arteta preferring possession-based football and Mourinho tending to favour counter-attacks to defeat opponents. It will be interesting to see how both managers approach this match and if they will change things tactically, more so Mourinho as his side have been struggling to find any fluidity in their play as of late.
Injuries and suspensions
Tottenham: Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Juan Foyth and Japhet Tanganga.
Arsenal: Bernd Leno, Edward Nketiah, Pablo Mari, Calum Chambers and Gabriel Martinelli.
